Biography

Dr. Paolo Spagnoletti – is assistant professor at LUISS Guido Carli University, Department of Business and Management. Since 2011 he coordinates the Research Center on Information Systems (CeRSI) of LUISS.

He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from LUISS University and he has been visiting fellow at the University of Agder (NO), London School of Economics (UK), Georgia State University (USA) and INRIA-Loria (FR). He is scientific responsible for LUISS research unit for the HOPES project (Help and social interaction for elderly On a multimedia Platform with E-Social best practices).

He has been team leader of CeRSI research unit (i.e. LiVES, MID-BLUE, LD-CAST STREP, INTEROP NoE) and IT consultant in several research projects funded by the EC, national institutions and private companies. Since 2008 he is teaching at LUISS “IT Fundamentals” (Bachelor in Economics and Business), “Business Information Systems” (Bachelor in Economics and Business and MSc in General Management), “Business Organization” (Bachelor in Economics and Business). He has also lectured on the following topics: “IS design and development” and “IT governance and security management”.

He serves as vice-president of the Italian chapter of AIS and as program committee member for national and international conferences. His research interests are on digital platforms design and governance, digital transformation of businesses and public administrations, and IT governance,  security and privacy. His work has been published in information systems journals like Information and Management, Communications of AIS, Journal of Information Systems Security. He has edited/co-edited three books and is currently Executive Editor of the Springer series Lecture Notes in Information Systems and Organisation.
