The PDW is\u00a0sponsored by the Italian Association of Organization Scholars (ASSIOA) and co-organized by the LUISS\u00a0OMT group and will be from from 9am to 12pm in June 15.<\/p>\n<p>The PDW aims to provide a forum for discussion to advanced stage doctoral students in\u00a0Organization and Management Theory, or related areas such as strategy, innovation, or entrepreneurship\u00a0with an OMT focus. It offers doctoral students an opportunity to present their research-in-progress to and\u00a0receive feedback and comments from senior faculty and editors of top management and organisation\u00a0journals. We are looking for 9 paper proposals of great potential focused on questions of organization and\u00a0management theory. The submitted paper proposals could potentially contribute to a large variety of\u00a0research streams of organization theory including institutional logics, categories, networks, organization\u00a0design, digital innovation, and organising innovation as well as other research streams. The PDW will\u00a0consist of three consecutive sessions of one hour and at each session 3 papers will be presented. Each\u00a0student will have 10 minutes for presentation and at the end of each session 30 minutes will be allocated\u00a0for questions\/feedback from the faculty. To attend the workshop, students will need to register for the<\/p>\n<p>DRUID Conference and refreshments will be provided during the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>In order to apply, students are expected to send a 2- page extended abstract, a 1-page r\u00e9sum\u00e9 with\u00a0the names of thesis advisor, and the name of one additional reference to the following email address:\u00a0kgurses@luiss.it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for submission of paper proposals is May 15, 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A selection committee\u00a0will blind review the paper proposals, rank, and select 9 of them. Preference will be given to doctoral\u00a0candidates at later stages of their PhD program \u2013 those beyond or close to the thesis proposal stage.<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed workshop participants include Daniel Levinthal (Wharton Business School, Editor in\u00a0Chief: Strategy Science), Ann Majchrzak (University of Southern California; Senior Editor: Organization\u00a0Science; Senior Editor: MIS Quarterly), Keld Laursen (Copenhagen Business School; Senior Editor:\u00a0Research Policy), Americo Cicchetti (Catholic University, Rome), Marcello Martinez (Second University of\u00a0Naples) and Stefano Brusoni (ETH Zurich).<\/p>\n<p>The PDW is open to faculty that participate to\u00a0DRUID: we expect to have a total of 10-15 professors present in the workshop to give feedback to the\u00a0participants.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact Kerem Gurses at <a href=\"mailto:kgurses@luiss.it\">kgurses@luiss.it<\/a> if you have any questions.
