The Italian Association for Organizational Studies welcomes professors, researchers, and professionals interested in the development of organizational disciplines.
By joining ASSIOA, Ordinary and Corresponding Members automatically also become members of the Italian Academy of Business Administration (AIDEA).
Membership categories and requirements
The Statute provides for various modes of participation, based on professional background:
- Ordinary Members: Ordinary Members of the Association are tenured university professors, tenured professors at foreign universities, and fixed-term or permanent researchers within the scientific-disciplinary sector ECON-08/A (Business Organization). If you belong to this category, you can submit your application via this Admission form.
- Corresponding Members: Corresponding Members are tenured professors from other scientific-disciplinary sectors, PhD graduates, doctoral students, research fellows, scholarship holders, adjunct professors, fixed-term extraordinary professors, and all those who carry out documented teaching and research activities on interdisciplinary topics consistent with those of SD ECON-08/A and SC 13/B3. Corresponding Member: For this category, please use the following dedicated Admission form.
- Aggregate and Supporting Members: Entities, companies, institutions, associations, executive figures (public and private), and individuals who wish to support the Association with ideas and resources. The application for admission (signed by the legal representative in the case of an entity) must be accompanied by a written proposal signed by at least one person already registered as an Ordinary Member. All documentation should be sent via email to: presidenza@assioa.it. The Board of Directors evaluates the requirements after the application is submitted.
Admission procedure
Admission to the Association is subject to the evaluation of requirements by the Board of Directors. The application process begins by completing the specific form for one’s membership category.
After submitting the application and receiving a positive evaluation from the Board of Directors, you will receive an email with the outcome of the evaluation and instructions for payment.
Do you need faster admission? If your application is related to imminent participation in the WOA or other ASSIOA initiatives, please write to the President (presidenza@assioa.it) and the Secretary of the Board of Directors (segreteria@assioa.it) indicating the urgency to activate a priority procedure.
Membership fees
To pay the fee, it is necessary to have an account on the Assioa.it website, which is activated for all members by the Secretariat following the admission procedure.
Payment of the fee can be made via credit card or bank transfer through the website. We invite you to carefully check the receipt heading details before confirming the transaction.
Membership is valid for the entire calendar year (January 1st – December 31st), regardless of the payment date.

First and Second Level Professors (Full Members): €130
Researchers (Full Members): €100
Postdoctoral Fellows, Research Fellows, and PhD Students (Corresponding Members): 60€
Other Professionals (Corresponding Members): €130
Associate and Supporting Members: €130
For the readmission of lapsed members (after three years of non-payment), a one-time Admission Fee of €50 is required.
