The Association aims to contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge in the field of organizational studies, both in scientific and applied contexts, in Italy and abroad, while also developing contacts with national and international academic societies.

To achieve these objectives, the Association promotes and supports initiatives aimed at encouraging international relations and collaborations among scholars of organizational studies (as well as complementary disciplines) and a variety of stakeholders, such as economic and institutional actors (public and private), other national or international associations, enterprises, and academic societies.

The Association actively participates in the international debate on the evolution of the discipline in society and the economic context, interacting with public institutions that manage universities and research institutions, while also engaging with international higher education systems. This occurs through public initiatives, documents, and proposals.

The Association intends to promote excellence in organizational studies in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer to the business world, paying particular attention to internationally established standards and their adaptability to European and national specificities.

The Association aims to organize scientific workshops, seminars, and public events, maintaining and developing the format of the Workshop of Italian Organization Scholars – WOA, both at national and international levels, while also fostering the connection of such initiatives with major international conferences on Economics, Management studies, and organizational studies.

To achieve its objectives, the Association may establish relationships and agreements with other associations (at national and international levels) and with research institutions whose institutional characteristics are consistent with those of the Association. The Association’s delegates to national and international bodies are appointed by the Association’s Board of Directors.

The Association organizes at least one scientific meeting per year, in Italy or abroad, called the Workshop of Italian Organization Scholars – WOA. The event format, organizational details, and scientific content are decided annually by the Association’s Board of Directors, which significantly represents all members. The scientific and organizational committees of the WOA are appointed by the Association’s Board of Directors.
